I've actually going with the home dog in this scenario. BC is typically a slow starting team, and last year they were playing a two QB rotation that they narrowed down to one during the off-season. Honestly, I think he's going to need a couple games before he gets in the habit of digging the team out of holes instead of just riding the bench when the team sputters. BC also lost their best defensive player to the Miami Dolphins and will be looking to plug that hole at DE.
A couple other things are that Saskatchewan has the most rabid fans in the CFL, and they will be anxious to avenge a first-round playoff drubbing last year by these very same Lions. The Roughriders have a lousy quarterback, but they can run the ball and have the league's best scoring defense, and I think that's exactly how they get this win. Isolate the newcomer at DE and use the extra width of a CFL field to drive the ball through the hole.
