i seen the tourney on bodog thats how i knew what time it was ........then i went to sbr.com and then i seen the event page which lead me to that calender page i showed.......at that point i went to the forum and signed up after that i went back to the calender page and pmed lou for the password and it was sent to me with no problem.........no where in this process did i see any req of 30 dam post until i won the tourney

To tx's defense, I completely believe this story.

If I was coming from Bodog, I too would have gone straight to SBR Contests. And I would have saw Bodog on the calander. And under that calender post...

There is no mention of a post count at all. Nor is there a link to the thread.

Now I'm not saying that doesn't mean it wasn't in the rules, because of course in the official tourney thread, the rule is made clear as I just re-posted.

I'm just saying there is no reason to attack TX here. This was an error on SBR's end, and while it is unfortunate, like I said, I'm sure Lou will handle it in the morning.

Obviously the rule is in place. Even if it was a mistake that we didn't have it on the calender, it doesn't make the rule less valid.

That was a SBR diary entry, a summary of the contest if you will - not a list of the official rules. It the diary entry contained the official rules for everything then it would be worthless as a diary.

And no, you shouldn't get paid. It says something when you've made more posts about wanting to be paid, despite not conforming to the terms and conditions of the contest, than you have done about anything SBR-related.

That is the link about the registration. The first post by Lou clearly says you need 30 posts. The calendar doesn't mention the posts, but the above thread does.

completely agree , these freerolls arent only about money , its great to play against other members, who actively contribute to the sbr forum .
