Today, I am informing you guys that Bodog Poker has changed most all of their tournaments:
Yeah I was in Vegas last week, and met a few guys who were repping Team Bodog, and they told me that the overlays were going to be history. I too play there solely because of the overlays...if I wanted to see big prizes, I'd be at Stars with the rest of the free world. The fields have been deteriorating lately at Bodog, and I'm not sure why it takes 30 minutes to put together a sit-n-go. I probably won't cash out entirely, but I think I'm gonna start spreading my action around to a few other sites. Any recommendations for other sites with decent overlay?

Yeah, bodog seems to be dying in this tough economy. They need a bailout, from Barack Obama! Fulltilt and rakeback man, thats my recommendation.

Bodog's poker software is so ugly, I almost feel like I should be PAID to play there.

Seriously. It's the most ugly thing I've ever seen.

well i look at it this way,if ur game is solid and u have time to play some tourneys daily.u will do fine, but then the ones who playa tourney very rarely and cries about the dollars ,those are the players u dont want anyway

Bodog used to have the best freerolls available (the cash outs could be used directly in their sportsbook), and loosest players.

Then, about 8 months ago, Bodog's software stopped working on my main desktop due to issues with a virtual basic DLL (I upgraded my .net). I tried contacting Bodog about it, and they didn't do anything about it except recommending that I keep re-installing the program (no upgrades, changes...). Even to this day the Bodog poker program doesn't work, and Bodog stopped upgrading its poker software.

I just decided that Bodog didn't care about poker or its players any more, and I stopped using it.

At least they are doing better than WSEX poker. Can't be long before they pull the plug or join a skin.

I don't know what your exact problem is but they also have also have an web based option that might work for you... I've never tried but be acceptable if you only playing freerolls on there anyhow...

Yea, I used to play there when they had 100% rakeback and you could qualify for a weekly tourneys or other promotions on top of it... but the software bugs never seemed to get fixed and the game selection got so bad that I couldn't find enough tables to play to qualify unless I played limits and types of tables I didn't typically play...

I think their rakeback concept would have worked if they had promoted it differently and had a better platform in place when people were willing to give them a try... The rakeback was also not based on individual contributions to the pot which made the games even tighter as you collected on other's play even when you weren't in a hand...

Adding slow payments makes it an obvious pass even if the other problems don't still exist...

Thanks LV, will give it a try if I want to play a SBR Bodog freeroll if another one comes up.....

The damned Bodog software just will not run on my desktop. After over a dozen upgrades from bodog, it now crashes even before starting with a typical microsoft error message. Microsoft error says I need to install a fix to a vbasic dll, but like hell I am going to do that for a lousy poker program.

FT and Poker Stars continue to run just fine.

Overall, with the likelihood of online cheating (superaccounts....) I have become really disillusioned with online poker as a place to bet real money anymore.........I would rather be cheated upfront in a casino with live players....
