To clarify: It's July 1st. And this is the Happy Birthday song video.
Happy Canada Day and whatnot.

Mudder, what time is your performance in Vegas? I will have my lighter in tow yelling "Freebird"

No, you're a smackhead.
Something is throwing me off about that flag. Can't quite put my finger on the problem.

Is that Your Song? (i.e. you and Teela?) Are you campaigning for it to be Your Song but still waiting for her approval?
Love is something I more-or-less approve of so anything I can do to advance the cause (within reason) will be seriously considered.

Not everyone would realize that, though I was born on July 1st in Canada, I was not born on Canada Day.
No - back then it was called Dominion Day.
Say it along with me . . . Dominion Day.
I'm all old.

I somehow missed the part about it being your birthday today. Happy b-day Mud! Extra dose of smack on my behalf!
You don't look Dominion-like... you'd probably pass for 35 without the facial hair. Just sayin'. No pressure.
(For the record, the mustache doesn't make you look any older... it's just an unequivocal sign that you're from the Dominion era.
Again, no pressure.)

Our song is "Pass The Dutchie" by Musical Youth. It gets her in the mood. She will only have sex with me if she is high.

Happy birthday, Mudcat! I loved the song, you have a real gift with lyrics. The tune was catchy too, I was already imagining a chord wall behind it! I dunno, maybe a jazz organ with a synth choir punching in on the off-beat. Then a saxophone bursting out a call and repeat against your vocals. We really should collaborate someday.
Thanks for being one of my favorite people, dude. You give me a reason to come back to this place, and I wish you all the happiness that life has to offer in the coming year.

No you're a mustached smackhead.
Here's the stupid thing: all day I was planning to give myself some kind of treat for dinner. I didn't take anything out of the freezer to thaw figuring I would hop over to the grocery store and grab something deluxe, whatever I was in the mood for.
So I just took a bike ride over there having decided on extra tasty chicken wings - and guess what? The grocery store is closed. Why didn't someone inform me that it is Canada Day?
Maybe someday I will grasp how society operates.

Thanks a lot. As much as I would like to let you go on believing I wrote that, it is a Cracker song. It should have some harmonica but I don't seem to have a C harp around here.
If you're curious, here's a YouTube with the studio music:

I confess I was not familiar with that song but having now looked it up on YouTube, all I can say is:

I like Mudcat's version of the song better, actually. He and I could take that song to a whole new level.

My favorite memories are when we did a smack'n'roids cocktail and got weepy over old Partridge family ballads and then, in the embarrassed rage that would follow, we would level the structures on public playgrounds with our bare hands.

I bet you're right.
There are two things I would really like to see on this forum sometime. Music videos from Rogue Scholar and Matt Rain.
