Funny how in the middle of watching
a football game, Andy and his family
popped into my head.. really made me
think for a few minutes how really
unimportant all these football games
are.

We often take the important things for
granted and put our efforts into the unimportant stuff.

Mindy.. I do not know you,we have never met

However i can easily tell that you are a superstar
of a wife,mom and human being.

Quick update via Mindy. Unfortunately, it’s not positive.

Bigday’s kidney function is not good. It’s declining daily. The team treating him does not have a means to halt the decline. His creatine is at 3.3 m g/dL, normal range is .6-1.5.

The infectious disease team was just here (1 PM hour) and I was able to ask questions about taking Andy out of sedation and how he reacts. The doctor stated he is breathing more stable and he is doing more on his own with the ventilator. She explained the why and how they (ICU) are trained to react. One doctor gave us ideas when they are waking him to help keep him calm. I am so thankful this team took the time to answer questions and explain. This morning I was on a roller coaster ride as it felt like things were getting worse when they gave me the news that his kidney function was declining. The ID team also stated that the first week is the toughest, it is a really long road but she felt very hopeful. I imagine (when you think positive things, positive things happen) we will be here for a couple more weeks to get him stabilized enough to bring him back to MN via medical air.

I have ever seen as your posts is all I need to know as you do not have a mean
bone in your body and because of this alone you will pull through..

Now the good news about this terrible disease..

• Residual numbness or other sensations. Most people with Guillain-Barre syndrome recover completely or have only minor, residual weakness, numbness or tingling.

Now that you know it's weakness, you'll definitely conquer and destroy
