I understand how we would do the banning and destroying. But exactly how would the confiscating take place?

Probably the same as the gold confiscation that took place in the 1920's while FDR was president.
Give the people a small cash sum for surrendering them and threaten with prison and fines for not complying.
Banning alcohol and tobacco should have a much higher priority than guns.

I can agree to that.... I think some people are just so depressed, lonely and full of anger and hate they just snap because they have nothing to live for in their minds. They don't see a bright future ahead in their lives in other words.

A few then wanna go out with a bang and take people out with them.. That has nothing to do with religion or race I agree..
