It would stand to reason why a sportsbook would want to know how much potential you have as a customer by snooping on you doing credit checks on you. They want to guage your wager activity and size of wager potential for one. Then it's nice to know if a new signup is vulnerable to be compulsive and such. That way you can get your A team pitchmen assigned as your personal client representatives where you know all the right buttons to push to lure the fish in.

Has anyone here ever discovered that someone in the sportsbook industry has ever run a credit check on them?

Has anyone lied to a sportsbook that they are a much bigger player than they actually are just so you feel that the money owed to you will be paid to you if the book suddenly moves into shakey territory? You sort of have to act and be a con man in order to get results and you act like you might be some potential whale who has no idea that the book is shakey.

I know someone who goes around telling the sportsbooks he has an interest in a bar where he can steer customers to sportsbooks and at first he got favorable treatment but now it's like the boy who cried wolf and they are all onto his con.Sportsbooks probably know about every job, every inheritance and every house you transacted.

I've never heard of a book running a credit check. They *do* keep a database of players that do chargebacks, cheat, or otherwise cause problems.
