The clock is ticking for LA. The Spurs have all the time on the world. If I’m the Spurs I take my time and don’t help out the Lakers.

If that happens, Lebron stays in Cleveland and George stays in OKC.

Leonard is irrelevant to LeBron's decision, George will sign with Lakers soon after free agency begins and LeBron will soon follow. Those two plus Lakers young nucleus makes current Lakers 6-1 championship odds fair. If they somehow land Leonard too (I don't think they will), then they'd become second choice behind Warriors.

Incorrect. He can still re-sign with okc. Just like lebron can opt out of cleveland bit still re-sign w them.

The thing that opting out does it is allows them to hear other official offers.

FYI Gilbert donated millions to Hillary's campaign as well. if LeBron went back to Cleveland after the scathing letter that Gilbert wrote about him in 2010 when he left for Miami, then he can certainly stay in Cleveland another year because it's not about Gilbert for him, it's about the city and its fans for him
