    Question regarding Pinnacle limits
Does anyone know why that when Pinny first brings out the lines they have lower limits as opposed to a few hours before game time?

E.g. NBA max opening wager is $10000 US and near gametime it is $25000? What time does the bet max increase?

    Thanks in advance.

        Bingo.

Pinnacle wants to have the highest limits it can, as long as it doesn't get burnt. If Joe Square wants to bet $1m against a fair line, Pinny is fine with that. Offering huge limits generates interest they wouldn't otherwise have - if you keep throwing up your blue circle with $100k+ limits on NFL, you get new players (good and bad) that either wouldn't play, or would only play in Vegas/Asian book with super-high limits.

You do NOT want high limits with a weak line. Until the starting lineups come out, a line can change drastically. The pros that follow the injuries will bury you if they can bet big before you react. Ergo, Pinnacle waits until it has a good line and knows the lineup before using the blue circle for higher limits.
