After getting my feet wet with the MLB for the past few weeks. I have decided to start my own daily MLB thread. I will discuss my daily plays along with information on why.

Feel free to chime in with your own information and opinions.

All my plays will be in at least 30 minutes before game time. Along with a star rating

12 hits, 3 runs, fanning 13 and walking 3 over 22 innings. (2-3) over 6 starts against the Cubs, with 10 homeruns allowed in over 6 starts.

Last 10 games bullpen performance
Cubs Whip=1.607
Sox Whip=1.310

To me that's a big difference in numbers when considering last 10 game bullpen performance. And this game should stay tight up until the time the bullpen's of each team need to come into play. And the Sox have the advantage in that category.

Baltimore Orioles -159 (7PM gametime)

NATIONALS: Ross Detwiler
Last 2 games average Whip=1.41, 97pitches
ORIOLES: Brad Bergesen
Last 2 games average Whip=.862, 97 pitches

Bullpen performance last 10 games WHIP
Nationals=1.567
Orioles=1.733

Nationals- Might be with-out first baseman Nick Johnson, took a ball to the shin and left the game early on Thursday. Bruised shins are a game killer, i dont expect him to be playing.

To me both clubs bullpen SUCKS. The only advantage I see for the orioles to win this game, at -159. Would be the pitcher saving there ass' as long as he can. And of course if the Nationals keep Johnson out of the game due to injury.

I like Detwiler to neutralize the Bal lefties and for Was to carry over from their big win last nite and start a lil streak...

ASTROS: Wandy Rodriguez
Last 2 games Whip average= 1.732, 109 Pitches

Bullpen past 10 games
Tigers=1.419
Astros=.927

I can see the Game out of control. Both pitchers are bad, although, Rodriguez has 1 career lost against the Tigers. And his Astros team has a HUGE advantage in the bullpen area. And I just dont see the Tigers to continue the 7 game win streak, at least not with that bullpen against the Astros.
