has he ever been a home dog in a Met uniform or last year with Minnesota?
Thanks

Not this season. Unless you want to include the Yankees game in which he was +110. But last week against TB he pitched well, but opened at -120 and closed at -117. Mets lost but he didnt pitch bad. Line looks a little weird so I might lay off.
Good luck sandels.

Line looks right to me. Carpenter vs Santana is a tossup, imo. Too much like gambling for me.

The last time Santana was a home underdog was August 1, 2004 while with the Twins when he faced Pedro Martinez.

He meant as a member of the Mets or in HIS last season with Minnesota.

I think Santana is injured, b/c he sure isnt himself. Mets aren't tellling anybody, just like Arroyo who who has slight Carpal Tunnel, but his team isnt blurting it out. It was hidden info in a post-game interview I read on a ESPN Recap.

I'm leaning towards stl here, Santana has run into a legit bump in the road in June, his recent K and BB ratios are not what made him the auto -200 of years past.
And Carp's looking good, maybe not quite the Lee/Greinke level of lights-out that he has been in the past, but definitely only one notch below that.
I think this line is about right, if I had to take a side right now I'd take stl.

My post was clearly not directed at LT.
But LT clarified what the original post meant. Thanks.

Yeah if not quite injured, then "fatigued". I posted a little while ago that if I were Mets management, I'd have him sit for 3 weeks or so. I think he'd come back and reel off a 10-0 end to the season.
What did you read about Arroyo? The carpal tunnel thing has been plaguing him since spring training, but it looked like it wasn't a huge problem once the season started. You heard anything new about it?

Damn dude, I cant find the article I read about 2 weeks ago. A reporter ask Arroyo how his hand was after a Loss, and he said he still isn't signing autographs, or playing guitar in order to keep is injury "under control."
The funny thing is the Reds don't even list it under the Injury Reports. If you haven't done your homework, you might still think this guy is worth your money. But he is Fade Material in my book.

But I posted about this for sure yesterday. And what I meant to say is that he "hasn't pitched well against any good teams."
Take Toronto RL +140. Fade Arroyo. I heard he has slight Carpal Tunnel in his throwing hand. And he hasn't pitched against any good teams this season. Blue Jays bats a hot at home too. I'm not betting it b/c I'm hoarding up some good karma for my bets tomorrow. Only parlays, andPhillies +155for me today. Low risk Wednesday. Haha

I saw this on espn. Mentions his knee being fuked up but he denies it. Just food for thought I guess.
News: Santana put some of the fears about his health to rest Saturday by pitching a season-high 7.1 innings in a rain-interrupted 3-1 loss to the Rays. He allowed three hits and two runs, including a long homer to Carlos Pena, but his 98-pitch outing was a major improvement from last Sunday's pounding by the Yankees, the NY Newsday's Mets blog reports.
Spin: Santana was defiant after the game, upset with the media for running with the rumors about his health, specifically former pitching coach's Rick Peterson's comments to ESPN 1050 Radio suggesting his repaired left knee was the problem. Santana's fastball was around 92 mph, an improvement over recent outings. The only downer, other than the loss, was that Santana only struck out three, giving him just 11K in his last four starts.

Santana could get smacked today, some say he has a tired arm. I would proceed with caution.

Neither the Arroyo hand issue nor the Santana knee/arm are secrets. Both were big public concerns for their respective teams coming into the season. There was a question as to whether Santana would even make his first start or begin the year on the DL.
Arroyo has been the epitome of hit or miss so far. He's either really good, or absolutely terrible. He'll pitch 7 innings and give up 2 runs one game and then give up 8 runs in the 1st inning the next. Most unpredictable guy in the league right now, imo. Santana started the year on fire so there weren't any questions about his health for the first several weeks. He wasn't getting any run support for a while, but lately that hasn't been the problem (well...his last two starts it has actually). The bigger problem has been his pitching of late. So now the injury questions pop up again.

VERY lucky to only be down 1-0. Pujols just missed a grand slam by inches (on the bat).
Johan already with 40 pitches in two innings.

not that unreal - Santana at 90% is still pretty good, and stl doesn't exactly have a murderers' row lineup.

wow, I consider the Mets having 3 off of Carpenter before the 5th to be less real than Stl having only 1 off of Santana after 4
