Come on. They choose school because they go to school. This is not rocket science. They feel bullied at school and made fun of at school, so they go back to the scene where they feel oppressed. These are not some random people going into schools.

It has NOTHING to do with a soft target. That is bullshit. Crazy people will kill others and not give a shit about the repercussions. Most do not care if they are shot and killed. Most are ready to die. Have you ever heard of suicide by cop? People don't care that you a teacher or law enforcement are armed. They're going to go out in a blaze of glory. People have shot up police cars, police stations, army bases, what have you. These are all mentally ill people with a gun. Your gun is not a deterrent for them. They can run up on kids at a mall and shoot them up. Nowhere is safe from a mentally ill person.

Got to have an armed guard at the point of entry at the school where the metal detectors are.. An active shooter won't try that even in the parking lot if armed guards are present..
