The Cookiecutter Approach to the Slowpay
Bring on the Slowpays! Can't quite share who they are yet as I can use going public as a tactic.

But, Bill and mods, what is the best approach and timeframe? I'd like some help developing my cookie cutter approach to the slowpay. For example, how long to wait before even contacting the book? Then what to do- live chat, email, phone call? Is the threat of going public even threatening to these guys? Does the name Bill Dozer strike fear into their hearts lol (or how about casinomeister or the Shrink at eog?) And at what point to ask for help?

Got a 2-week slowpay and 1-week slowpay in the works. Go D books! I still love you.

Personally, I send an e-mail as soon as the payment is 24 hours over due (per sits T&C's). If no time frame in mentioned in the T&C, I send the e-mail after day 4 or 5.

This e-mail should be polite. Ask for help in getting the payment processes and for information.

8 out of 10 times that does the trick for me.

If you come out of the gate with a pissed off tone, chances are greater that things will get delayed.

I personally would give them about a week before I really starting to be concerned.
