my sister chose not to have children and she is very happy

I'm not a degen gambler myself. It's just a job. But this post made me realize that my primary anti-fatherhood angle is not so much the idea of dealing with a baby/diapers etc. Reading that doesn't scare me so much.

What I am most leery of is the idea it will turn into a teenager someday. Specifically that it might be a little version of me. I was not a happy nice-to-be-around teenager. I was miserable and awful and dangerous.

I would not want to have the teenage me in my life for years and years.

I have a daughter 5 yrs. old...she's the best thing that ever happened in my life...having a child slowed me down from the wild and crazy things I was into....I see life from a whole different angle now...when she smiles to me and says..da-da..its the best feeling in the world!!!!
