Time to work backwards while you’re conducting the search. Did he meet with anyone that day? Where did he go that day and the day before? DOT has cameras all over. Was he being followed? Do we know what he was wearing? Was it hiking gear etc etc

This is the least explored avenue and yet the one that makes sense to explore. The title of the article that was posted in this thread was "Handicapper". While he could've gotten injured, had a heart attack (hopefully not), been attacked by a wild animal, the climate change at night, or a wide variety of other possibilities, the gambler-handicapper option makes a lot of sense to me ( not saying it's true). Maybe he doesn't owe a ton of money but maybe he lost a ton of money that can ruin one's life. I simply don't know, but how does an investigator not explore this option?????
