Nobody wants the current regime to stick around. Dude you are so wrong about this. The president hasnt come out and the movement is still strong.

Please tell me if the president comes out and says STOP THIS OR ELSE!!!! and the Iranian government tells us to **** ourselves (which they will) Then what do we do???? Go to war???? No there is nothing we can do at this point. So coming out and speaking like that will only make us look weaker what do you not understand.

You conservatives always get boners about Reagan.....this is not like Reagan saying "tear down that wall" We don't have anything to back our words up. And if we can't actually back our words up with force anything we say now can only make things worse and will make us look weaker.

The Iranians are making their point on their own just fine right now. Sure people are dying but point out one revolution in history where people didnt die

I am gonna pull my hair out!

They already told us to go **** ourselves.

why do u care so much as to how or what people think about us?

You do what is right and NOT they want to hear.

The world is full of wimps now, as it has been throughout history. There are those, every once in awhile, that have the balls to stand up and say the right thing. Reagan, Dr King, Madella to name only a few.

History remembers those that take a stance for what is right and not those who sit on the fence.

Dude I'm gonna pull my hair out as well. Please tell me what you would like the president to come out and say....and what positive affect you think it will have on the situation.

I don't care what people think about us....Unless they view us as weak and as a country that is all talk that can't back up what we say which is exactly what would happen. If we had to go to war with Iran right now we'd be ****ed and there would HAVE TO BE a draft.

This isnt about how big Obama's balls are, it's about being smart. Saying something won't help the ****ing protestors. Please tell me what the president should say and how it would help

And by the way the REGIME WANTS US TO COME OUT AND GET INVOLVED....why????? because then they can say the protestors are all pawns of the US and the movement will lose it's steam. Iranians still hate us they want to control themselves they dont want us to control them....That's why this has to be an Iranian movement.

Plus IRANIANS IN THE MOVEMENT HAVE SAID THE PRESIDENT HAS HANDLED IT WELL AND HIM SAYING MORE WILL ONLY HURT THEIR CAUSE. WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE AGAINST THE MOVEMENT

you're acting all high and mighty and fighting for freedom...but not even listening to the wishes of those fighting for that freedom

"We support the Iranian people and demand fair elections" how's that?

What war? you always assume that war in the first thing the USA does? The Iraq liberation started over a decade before. Over a decade on them defying UN inspectors and a decade of sanctions.

Look at North Korea? How long has that been going on? We have sanctions now and for years.

I will keep this short. Just remember bro, the so called "leaders" of of Iran and North Korean are ****ing insane. They aren't decent people but rather brutal dictators that strip the citizens of basic freedoms and human rights.

Mahmoud Ahmadineja is ****ing insane. The holocaust never happened and Iran doesn't have 1 homosexual are only 2 things he says.

We haven't had a relationship with them for 3 decades and unless things change, we never will. Now is a great chance to change the radical Islam officials and instead we are sitting on the fence.

                            WOW!

                            Tell me you understand? Please!

I understand we want that regime out. I'm saying the president has come out and said he supports them, and supports people rights to assemble peacefully. He also said today the actions the government has taken are appalling to the world.

However we do not have PROOF the elections werent fair, and us getting involved wont help.

You told me what the president should say, however if he says that how will he help? How will that help the revolutionary movement?

How will the Iranian governemnt not make it seem like the protestors are pawns of the west???(they've already tried saying that about the European countries)

I'm not saying we dont want a revolution....obviously we do. However it has to be from within, not with our hand. How will the President saying that help the situation? Lets be honest the world and Iranians know what side we are on...We don't have to throw out hat in the mix and give the leaders and out for the world to know where we stand with this.

Remember when the first Bush pushed the Iraqis to fight the Hussein Regime? and they did....and then Bush didnt back them up with force....and that resulted in thousands and thousands and thousands of mass killings.

That's what will happen here if we get involved but do not support the movement with force

Guantanamo Bay detention camp and water boarding would be a good start.

Bush isn't the stupidest president ever. He was just trying to make sure we get oil. It's all about the energy.

And unlike other recessions, this one was directly caused by conservative anti-regulatory policy. In fact, recent evaluations show that bush policies never created any real growth -- the ephemeral financial upswings of the past eight years were based on market bubbles and economic band-aids.

                                                        2. The worst financial crisis since the 1930s. the bush administration, flacking an "ownership society," helped manufacture the housing bubble. When it burst, americans lost $6 trillion in housing wealth (so far), fueling a market crash that has cost americans $8 trillion of stock wealth, according to economist dean baker. On a grand scale, we've been mugged.

                                                        3. The worst foreign policy mistake in the history of this country. that's what senate majority leader harry reid, d-nev., correctly called the iraq war. This pre-emptive war -- based on phony pretenses -- is now the second longest in our nation's history (after vietnam). Some 35,000 americans are dead or wounded, as well as an enormous number of innocent iraqis. And even today, more than five years later, can anyone explain why bush marched us into this quagmire?

                                                        4. Unprecedented rejection of human rights. recently, a bush administration official finally admitted that the u.s. Government engaged in torture at guantanamo bay detention center. bush admitted that he personally authorized waterboarding. While these clear violations of the geneva conventions would have been unthinkable a few years ago, today we're not surprised. From abu ghraib and extraordinary rendition, to years-long detention of innocents and the unrestrained killing of civilians by u.s.-paid mercenaries, this administration has systematically squandered our nation's moral standing in the world, making us less able to protect americans and american interests worldwide.

                                                        5. Watergate-style abuses of power. as the house judiciary committee staff has documented, bush used the politics of fear and division to justify warrantless wiretapping of innocent americans (including u.s. Soldiers fighting overseas), spying on peaceful domestic groups and the use of national security letters to pry into the private records of millions of americans. He also presided over illegal politicization of the justice department and retribution against critics. In fact, bush claimed the authority to disobey hundreds of laws -- as if richard nixon were right when he famously said: "when the president does it, that means it's not illegal."

                                                        6. Unprecedented increases in inequality. the economic policy institute reports, "for the first time since the census bureau began tracking such data back in the mid-1940s, the real incomes of middle-class families are lower at the end of this business cycle than they were when it started." that's because bush policy was designed to increase economic inequality. The richest 1 percent of the population received 36 percent of the bush tax cuts; the least-affluent 40 percent received only 9 percent. While the rich got exponentially richer, the poverty rate and the percentage of uninsured dramatically increased.

                                                        7. A culture of sleaze. this was an administration without shame. Kicked off by vice president dick cheney's secret energy task force, the administration fostered a "greed is good" culture. The subsequent conservative money scandals (jack abramoff; white house officials j. Steven griles and david safavian; republicans rep. Bob ney of ohio, house majority leader tom delay of texas, rep. Duke cunningham of california and sen. Ted stevens of alaska) and other lawlessness (cheney's chief of staff o. Lewis "scooter" libby, sen. David vitter of louisiana, sen. Larry craig of idaho) have toppled the conservative "moral values" façade into the gutter, where it belongs.

                                                        8. Blind rejection of science. the bush administration thumbed its nose at scientific evidence that contradicted conservative political goals. The resulting lies about global warming, endangered species, toxic chemicals and consumer products threaten the health and safety of every american. And the virtual outlawing of stem cell research has delayed important medical advances by years, causing immeasurable suffering and loss of life.

                                                        9. Utter refusal to protect the health, safety and legal rights of americans. following the conservative business-is-always-right philosophy, bush dismantled the agencies and rules designed to protect consumers from unscrupulous businesses, workers from reckless employers and small companies from anti-competitive large companies. If conservatives didn't like a federal law, they blocked, hindered or defunded agency enforcement.

                                                        10. Presiding over our nation's worst natural disaster, and not caring. hurricane katrina was transformed from a calamity into a national disgrace by the sheer incompetence and indifference of the bush administration. Before the hurricane struck, bush had downsized the federal emergency management agency and placed in charge a political crony with no relevant experience. When katrina ripped through mississippi and louisiana and inflicted nearly $100 billion in damages in new orleans to become the costliest hurricane in u.s. History, fema was unprepared to help, and thousands of americans suffered the consequences. More than three years later, new orleans still has not recovered.

So, congratulations for being the worst president in world history.

1.- 2. This recession/financial meltdown was DIRECTLY CAUSED by liberal-regulatory policy NOT conservative anti-regulatory policy.

The democrats have been putting immense pressure on lending institutions dating back to the Carter administration to approve more loans for lower income/minorities. While the idiotic left-wing always believed the banks were discriminating against these groups, we now know the reason they weren't making loans to them was due to their INCREDIBLY HIGH DEFAULT RATES.

Back in 2005, many prominent republicans saw the writing on the wall urging their fellow democrats to tackle this problem before it becomes a full blown mess. However, the only thing democrats like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were concerned about was "affordable housing" so they defended the lending practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and called any financial reform "an attack on the poor".

I have to admit that President Bush agreed with the democrats on this issue so he does deserve some of the blame for this. Agreeing with the democrats on anything is rarely a good idea.

                                                            3. A decade of defiance by Saddam Hussein left Bush with no choice but to invade Iraq and remove him from power. This is why John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, etc, gave Bush their "thumbs up" to go to war. After we found Saddam in that bunker, Bush's approval rating was hovering around 65% and only the anti-war crowd remained critcal of the decision to invade Iraq.

Unfortunately, things got far more complicated with Iraq. Instead of standing behind their president and the country when the going gets tough, the majority of democrats reversed course and criticized Bush for a decision that they themselves made.

                                                            4. Torture at Guantanamo Bay and waterboarding of enemy prisoners? WHO CARES!!!

I would be more than willing to sacrifice the lives of every prisoner being held at Guantanamo Bay for a McDonald's happy meal.

                                                            5. Wiretapping of suspected terrorists with the goal of stopping another 9/11 type of attack against our country. KUDOS TO BUSH!!! Anyone who is concerned with the privacy of suspected terrorists deserves a penthouse view on top of the World Trade Center on that fateful day of 9-11-2001.

                                                            6. Those that paid the highest amount in federal tax got the biggest tax cuts when Bush decided to reduce taxes. This is common sense and shows how BRAIN DEAD liberal democrats really are. My response to those who pay no income tax complaining that they didn't benefit enough by Bush's tax cuts, do your talking with your feet and leave. YOU CERTAINLY WON'T BE MISSED.

                                                            7. The list of scandals and sleaze during the Clinton administration reads longer than War and Peace with about 50 people mysteriously winding up dead during his run. Politicians and those closely associated with them are all sleazeballs and this holds true on both sides.

                                                            8. Global warming is a liberal democratic scam. Even if there was CONCRETE PROOF that it exists, it would require a world-wide effort and even that might not help. As far as stem-cell research, I finally agree with you. There is plenty of evidence that indicates stem cell research can help the lives of millions of Americans and the federal government needs to keep its nose out of medicine (this certainly includes Obama's attempt to socialize the entire medical industry).

                                                            9. Consumers have nothing to lose when they file bogus lawsuits against big corporations looking for the big payday in the civil courtroom. The odds are better and they don't even have to shell out a buck for the chance at millions.

Employers should be allowed to fire an employee whenever they wish for any reason they choose. If there weren't so many ridiculous laws trying to protect employees from employers, then perhaps there would be far fewer people without a job.

                                                            10. Finally the last item dealing with Hurricane Katrina and all the worthless trash that lives in New Orleans.

It is NOT the federal government's job to deliver immediate financial/medical aid to those affected by natural disasters. It is the job of the local, city and state governments to be on the scene with the bigger more meaningful federal aid to come later.

Instead of banding together and helping a fellow neighbor in distress, the useless people of New Orleans decided to take to the streets and loot every store in town while raping women and children right out on the streets.

When those $2,000 emergency gift cards were handed out to the citizens of New Orleans, these people went back again and again to accumulate as many of the cards as they could.

When the Red Cross reached the city, they were turned away by the thugs who decided to arm themselves in their attempt to take over the city.

That picture of all those buses stuck in the mud was worth a million words.

If I could hand pick the best location for Katrina to strike, it would have been New Orleans. The democrat blaming Bush for what happened is PATHETIC.
