11 shots back although it's probably a false leader.
Even so, he can't win now.

I'm trying to fade him at 10-1 on Matchbook. Hard to see him coming back to win this.

Matty; The first rule of backing golfers is they need to make the cut, to get all four is a massive bonus for us.
Mike Weir is now 7-2 fav. I don't know about you, I got 129-1.
Ross Fisher is now 28-1, I got 169-1 to win and 21-1 for top five finish.
Geoff Ogilvy is now 20-1, I got 20-1.
Reteif Goosen is now 80-1, I got 47-1.
I'm looking at one of my best days ever depending on the result, but I've got nice prices on 2 of 4 and to still have all 4 running is a fukkin acheivement in itself.
Heres to us Matty you tailed all 4?

I have Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia. I like my chances for one of them to win it.

Pavy, Adam Scott is now 50-1, you've made the cut and you've beaten the price, same position as me, all they've got to do now is win.
If I don't, I hope you do.

Tiger won't win simply because there are too many in front of him. On each of the next rounds at least one player in front of him will play ok, he'd need to shoot the two lowest rounds of the week (64) to even have a chance.

I certainly did. It's all scattered across 2 books and multiple bets (SIA limits were stupidly low early this week, but they let me hit them again Thursday).
I got bad prices on the win (+7500 on Weir ), but I think I did ok with the Top 5 finishes.
Weir Top 5 +1650
Fisher Top 5 +3125
Ogilvy Top 5 +400
Goosen Top 5 +1000
and pavy's pick:
A. Scott Top 5 +3125
all played outright too.

Someone is going to win it Mike and if it's not me I hope is you. You are teaching the rookies here how you beat the system.

Not really Paves, there's more luck attatched to betting golf than any other sport out there. The reward is if you can pick a guy early and he plays ok, then you've beaten the price, the luck is in them actually winning.

Is fading Tiger laying 14-1 a good bet at this point?

Purely my opinion, yes.
Think about it.
To even stand a chance of winning he would need to shoot two 64's, that's what your betting against, and on this course with the way the mud will stick to the ball it's very very unlikely. And even if he did shoot 2 64's I would say it still wouldnt be enough, he's tied 41st, there are far too many people in front of him.
Just my opinion.

My thoughts as well. Just too many players ahead of him now. What the hell. I'm gonna take the offer on Matchbook now....watch it disappear in 15seconds!

The other reason this is an excellent play is because many gamblers seem obsessed with backing Woods regardless of logic, i've never seen another person attract the same amount of blind money as Tiger Woods.

True; he's always overpriced. I have done quite well betting against Tiger when he is way behind. One of these days, I may get in trouble. I just hope it's not this weekend.

I seriously doubt it Slim, but let's assume you did, logic says you're still playing the right side, that's why it's a good play, regardless of outcome.
