    Nats 47-115????
with their .292 winning % that is about the record they are due for?

that's about the 2003 tigers mark....

but otherwise we've seen nothing close to this sort of futility in 99% of the lifetimes of posters here....

is this team really this bad? or can we expect them to start regressing towards the mean? what is their pythorgean w-l record projected to be?

they have some talent.... enough you wouldn't think they would be an all time top 20 worst record in the majors.....

    zimmerman, dunn, guzman, dukes

was thinking of martingaling against their current hot streak... but on second thought, maybe the best though is a prudent picking my spots backing of the nats... they can't be this bad can they?

Good point as well... I think they are a poorly managed team with no defined leadership. You would expect leadership out of Zimmerman but he has failed to show it since he's been there.. Very good athlete but unable to carry a team on his back like a Chipper Jones with the Atlanta Braves or Jose Reyes/David Wright from the Mets.. To me there is no possible way that the Nationals are capable of a winning streak longer than 5-6 games...

I think you are right about the streak... but I don't think they continue at the current win 3 lose 7 pace... I've seen alot of pirate teams with alot less talent win mid 60's to low 70's....

their young pitching could come around.... who knows

Absolutely.. 17 Games out before the AllStar break is ridiculous.. The Manager should be fired today for a record that bad. I think if you ARE going to FADE the Nats, now would be the perfect time to do it with the Interleague matchups going on. We will see

Sadly, I have wagered on the Nationals several times this season, and this is what I have learned:

                  1) The Nationals are the worst managed team in the league
                  2) The Nationals dont care that they are the worst managed team in the league
                  3) The Nationals are the worst team in the league
                  4) The Nationals dont care that they are the worst team in the league

This is a deadly combination for Nat's backers... I would fade the Nats to the moon.

2 examples that describe the Nationals (or as I like to call them, the Fagtionals)

                  1) Early game @ Mets, first inning. Elijah Dukes backs up to catch a deep fly ball to center field only he doesn't have his sunglasses on so he completely misses the ball, allowing 2 runs to score.

                  2) Screwjob (fkn pile of shit Nationals blow a 4 run lead TWICE in the same fuking game, by 2 fukin grandslams, not 1, but TWO 2 Duex Dos, as in **** my up the ass twice in the same fkn game, you fukn ******s. Then not only that but these dick smoking gooks lose by 2... 11-13 final)

Pardon my language (this was what I entered in my excel file for that game)
