Why the Toronto Blue Jays are a solid pick for Today (6-20-09)
I'm looking at the Blue Jays to calm the Nats down tonight. I mean it's great that the Nationals took the last 2 games from the Yankees and followed up with an extra inning win last night to start the series with the Jays, But that ends tonight.
Wouldn't it make you laugh if early in the week I told you that the Nats would take the last 2/3 from the Yankees and then beat the Jays in Game 1 of a 3 game set? OF COURSE IT WOULD!
This does not change that the Nationals are the most terrible team in baseball.. Their record remains an impressive 19-46 going into tonights game, with a terrible home record, and Ross Detwiler on the Mound (0-3 ; ERA 5.23)
The Blue Jays can hit guys... They should tear this guy to pieces. While the Nationals are on a 3 game tear, they have failed to score more than 3 runs in any of those performances. Look for the Jays offense to explode tonight, I would even consider taking the RL on this..
