No shows should be banned unless they can provide proof of an emergency that kept them away (serious illness, death in the family, etc) Or SBR could limit them to posting in only Seaweed threads for 6 months. That would be worse than a banning!

After attending all the previous bashes I actually missed the last one last minute (and also a week in Amsterdam, two weeks in Costa Rica, and three nights in NYC...) after getting hospitalized in London so I can see both sides of having it suck but having to cancel last minute. IMO a fair solution might be to require a bitcoin deposit (say $500 pegged to the dollar?) refunded in an equivalent amount of cash or bitcoin upon arrival.

As I’m sure the leading forumville 1%er Opie would agree: if you aren’t big time enough to be already be using bitcoin to make sports book deposits and can’t tie up half a dime for a few months to attend a top tier elitist event like the bash you probably such a broke dick fukk that you shouldn’t be going to Vegas in the first place...

I like this idea of a bitcoin deposit especially for people claiming to drive to Vegas since airfare is currently the only proof.

The easiest way is get a players card and play some slots... I have had free rooms and comps at Bellagio for over 10 years doing this.

Just get rated when you play. Vegas throws comps at you like no other place. Lots of competition.

You'll want to play a little heavier than your usual bet when you first start at the table. This way your average bet gets rated higher. This will work at tables where the boss is lazy but some of them will update your bet size every time you change it. When you play at tables with big bettors they will less likely be paying attention to you.

Another trick of the trade is to buy in for a lot of chips and slowly dump green chips ($25) into your pocket. Do not dump the blacks because they keep track of those. At the end of your session color in what you have on the table. It will look like you lost a lot more than you did or won less than you did (They love big losers and this will help with comps when you check out). This works well at craps tables where there are sometimes 12 players. It doesn't work so well at other tables.

Chip dumping is also good when you have a line of credit. That way you can use that money you dumped in your pocket to play at other casinos.

Most places this is true but at the Nugget in Vegas you do get a little something. You must register your rewards card at the sportsbook your first time playing (just ask the teller or manager), then every time you place a wager just swipe your card before placing your bet

Every time I have gone to Vegas in the past I always did 4 nights and every time I always wanted to stay longer because there were more things I wanted to do and see. But I’m not the type to hang at the casino all day. I do a lot of sites and attractions.

So so this trip I’m doing 7 nights. Gonna see how it goes. I’m pretty sure I’ll get my ass kicked early and will be wishing I only did 4 nights again. But I figure the SBR events will be on the tail end of the trip so that will keep me busy for a few days.

If, for whatever reason, SBR prefers fiat currency rather than holding bitcoin during the float period they can convert it on their end when it is sent.
