For the posters that didn't make the cut... and/or aren't selected when other posters drop from list.... is there a possible way to still attend SBR functions (not including SBR Poker Tournament) for a fee?

I don't know what's included for the 50 posters that were selected? I understand the 50 selected get free rooms. But what else is included? Ex. Free food/free drinks???

Naturally, I would pay for my own room... but was wondering if SBR would pass some discounts to posters who weren't selected?

I think you miss read his post Sam...he is asking as a non top 50 selection....From what I understand if one is outside the top 50 they are SOL for all the SBR Events aside from the conference. Please advise...

Yes, 50 people have received the PMs and will need to respond with flight details to be confirmed. Not sure about cut off date.

It's months away, a surprising number of people wont confirm and closer to the date SBR will have a better idea how many people, guests, staff and speakers are actually going to be there and will fill up the quota.

If you decide to just book yourself, there is still the IFBC to attend and honestly, most of the activity with other posters happens outside the organized events anyway. And rail riding the poker event is still fun when you know all 50 players.

You are absolutely correct Sweep

Sweep is right! This is absolute bullshit! There's obviously more than 50 pros that wanna go. And others that live close by and don't need the hotel room. If an SBR Pro wants to pay their own way, book a room at the Nugget or elsewhere, and confirms he or she wants to play in poker tourney and participate, why the fuk should they not be allowed too?

It like you're say'in "ok you're an SBR Pro, but not one of "special 50" so fuk you." What's the big fuk'in deal to add a few more poker tables and toss in a few more shrimp trays? Like a real SBR pro is gonna fly out there, be excluded from the meals and hang out on the rail watch'in other Pros play poker.

You guys reimbursed Pros for airfare one year at the Costa Rica bash, which cost way more than this Vegas get together. Is it that much of a hassle to open this up to more than 50 and let all SBR pros who can make it participate?
