Don't book a spot if you dont want to be there. People will miss out who do want to be fully part of it. And if you book a spot SBR pay for and then you do not use it, you can expect a frosty reception if you are ballsy enough to try showing up for the dinners/parties/events.

Nothing stopping you planning a Vegas trip the same weekend and maybe hooking up with some posters outside conference time though.

So you are saying that guys cant get free rooms at another hotel and not go to the Poker Tournament or other activities. I for one can get rooms at many hotels for free and I might as well save a spot for someone else who cant. But if the only way is to stay at the hotel then that is what I will do

You can still sign-up and attend without having to take a room. Rooms are limited. But you will be required to have an SBR name tag to be able to participate in any event that SBR holds. (ie. Poker Tournament, Free Drinks, Diner, Meet-n-Greet)
