Could this be Kansas’ year?? I took them in my bracket but really starting to think they might do it. They overcame a lot of adversity and had their struggles but they’re battle tested and experienced. With De Sousa getting more time they now have a legitimate front court as well.

Texas A&M has been my cash cow this tournament. They are a team I was high on coming into the season but were derailed by injuries and suspensions. Now we’re seeing what they’re capable of. One of the biggest, most athletic teams in the country capable of totally overpowering their opponent. Beilein is a hell of a coach and he’s gotten a lot out of this Michigan team. That’s not to say they aren’t good - they’re definitely a solid team - I just think talent wise they’re a notch below the top teams. This will be a close game though. I locked in some on A&M now just in case the line drops.

Public perception is that Kansas State sucks because they struggled with UMBC. That’s simply not the case. They aren’t loaded with talent but they have good players at pretty much every position and they’ve proven they can compete with good teams. Assuming Wade returns, they won’t look anything like the anemic offense we saw Sunday night. Kentucky is rolling and we’ve seen Calipari teams figure it out like this late in the year before but I expect a really competitive game here. I’m very confident K-State covers this number and they should have an opportunity to win the game outright.

What do you make of the Kansas game tomorrow. Clemson has been impressive but not sure they can hang. I heard they are terrible defending the 3 and KU obviously shoots at a great clip from there.

I like Kansas but I’m a little ticked I didn’t get the opening number. I think Kansas is going all the way but it’s going to be a real grind, just like it’s been all year for them.

They definitely are built to handle it. They have a great PG in brunson and other guys capable of handling the ball if it’s forced out of his hands. Villanova is the more complete team but I just think this game will be a struggle. West Virginia is going to leave it all out on the floor. Nova probably escapes but this is the game that I think is the best chance for them to slip up before the Final four.

What do you like about Kansas in that potential Duke matchup? I’m a Kansas fan (my 2nd team, after MSU) and I also hate Duke, so I’ll admit it’s tough for me to analyze that matchup objectively. I guess Kansas can shoot over the zone D right? And they got slashers - Newman can dribble drive penetrate like no other. So KU offense can solve duke zone d no problem but I have no idea how they’d match up defensively.

Yea Kansas’ shooting should be able to hurt the zone D but also tonight we saw Duke had trouble rebounding in the zone. Kansas’ rebounding has improved. Most of that is Azuibuke but still. They’ve made strides. I still think De Sousa needs to make a contribution.

To me it looks as though books are on Kansas State. I think they’re playing up the Loyola underdog thing by making them a slight dog. I can’t bet it at this number. Loyola looks like the team of destiny but just looking at the line, my instinct tells me K-State.

I agree couldn’t play a side.. I’ve leaned both ways.. love KStates defence but Loyola shares the ball so well.
