My beloved Hawkeyes come in at #21.
Would be very optimistic on Iowa's chances this year to compete for a national title, but a relatively brutal schedule will prevent this from happening.
Opening the Big Ten season AT Penn State could turn out ugly for the Hawks...........the Nittney Lions will be licking their chops with revenge after Iowa defeated them last season. Couple this with the fact Iowa has to also play AT Ohio State, and one can easily see Iowa will be fortunate not to have 3 or more losses this season.
Having said that, Iowa will field a very talented team in 2009,one that is probably on par with last years club, meaning yet another trip to Tampa to play in the Outback Bowl, where last year they destroyed South Carolina.
