Hey guys, got up early and have been keeping an eye out for the rumblings in Vegas. Lines are just starting to jump around. Anyway, looks like you guys did some great work last night, lets make it pay off today.
looking at the main games that you guys broke down, I'll add my thoughts:
- Boston. I think that Boston can get a decent win here, and the linesmakers appear to think so as well. But, Matsuzaka scares the hell out of me. Something is not right with him at the moment, I don't think he has made it into the 6th inning one time this year. We also have to avoid playing home favorites on the run line. As of 6/02, home favs were 224-325 on the run line.
- Toronto. Anyone else think this line is fishy? They just swept the Phils, now come in to play the worst team in baseball and start as -120 favorites in some books, then with 99% of the bets on them drop to even money or dogs on some books? We need to be careful here. The stats suggest a convincing Toronto win, but there is something wrong with this line.
- KC. Like it, they're hitting well and the line moved in our favor on this one. Weather is troubling though, looks like T-storms. If they get a full game in I think the over 9 is worth a look as well, especially with the Cards bats starting to come back to life.
- Rays. Good one, they are hitting well and their pitchers look good. Line moves suggest Rays are the call here. Mets are a dumpster fire, as we all witnessed last night. Internally that team is struggling, and I'm looking to fade them as much as possible.
- Phillies and Yanks. Both are likely winners, but I don't see the value in laying that kkind of chalk on the Yanks when they are on the road and the Phillies who have a losing record at home. We can find better value on the board IMO.

I hope someone is around so I can at least talk about the early game. I like Cle here. The public is betting real heavy on the under 9. 98% on the site I look at. I don't think that much of the betting public could be wrong. Or could they???

Great stuff razz, I don't like playing home RLs either. If the game is tied bot 9 then the home team needs a 2 run dinger to cover.

The other games that are worth looking at to me are; MIL/DET, HOU/MIN, LOS/LAA, ARI/SEA, and TEX/SFO. Gonna start digging into these right now.

What about the early game Cle/Chi. I know minkus and his weather report said t-storms all day. How often have meteorologists been wrong. With Lee starting for Cle I think Cubs will have a hard time getting hits.

Thanks DJ. The early game with CUB and CLE is trouble IMO. Looks like some weather problems, wind blowing out to left. I'm seeing 80% on the under right now, and the public can and is often wrong. I'd leave it alone, or if you really want action make it small and go for the contrarian thing here and take the over and the Cubs, but I'd need to look into this more, those are just intial leans.

Cleveland going over 9 runs, perfect scenario to fade the public here, cleveland averaging over 6 runs past 5 games and giving em up as well

The Cubs snapped out of that shit streak yesterday in style. I like when teams do that stuff. I know Lee is pitching and has a good era but Cubs will hang around until they can get to indians pen which mil hammered. The cubs are the call today lee is also sporting a losing record with a 2.88 era a sign of lack of support

I agree 100%. As long as the game isn't shortened by weather it should be a winner.

Uh-oh, that total just moved against us. Its dropped to 8.5 almost everywhere. Not only is the public on it but it appears that the sharps are betting under as well. I'm a bit worried about this. Agree with lakerboy, I like the Cubs in this spot as well, mentioned earlier this morning.

Very valid points lakerboy. I was going to only play the total but I might have to pick the cubs also.

I still got 9 at my books. But if the sharps bet the under shouldn't we do the same. Have a nice 2 teamer cubs and the under

I don't know bud. The public didn't force this line down, the sharps did. I really liked the over at first, so I'm a bit torn. If you are getting 9, under might be a better play. I'd make it small either way. BOL.
