I was just listening to someone complain about weeks like this where there are NFL games Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The complainer felt there should be one Monday night game and all the rest on Sunday. The exception of having 2 Thursday games on Thanksgiving was considered okay - but that's it!
I didn't catch their actual argument though. There was some typical traditionalist rhetoric along the lines of: that's the way it used to be so that is how it should be now. But beyond that, I'm not sure of the thought process.
Me, I am the opposite. Sports to me are only about betting and I don't give a flying Fig Newton about tradition. My main complaint about the NFL is the relatively small number of games and the fact there are often only 2 gamedays each week. If there could be at least one game to bet on every damn day, I would be much happier.
I don't see that happening anytime soon but weeks like this are a great thing IMO.
Just wondering what people think.
