short game - do you try to hit a fukkin flop shot every time or play a texas wedge 40 yards away. being a 90 shooter there is no way you play the correct shot around the greens so giving advice on what ball to play is absurd

the course - are greens elevated, how high is the rough, do bunkers surround greens, fast greens?

your game with friends - do you roll the ball in fairway, rough?

I did all the work. I was a scratch player for decades. Now my body is fukked up, I am old and play twice a month and will shoot low 80's on a Championship course.

I have caddied on both the PGA and LPGA tours for a short time. I knew several pros, hung out in the equipment trailers on tour and knew every product sales rep. With all that said, I certainly don't know as much about the game as Rudy. He is obviously an expert.

Greaser. I would recommend using the Taylormade Project A ball. It is the best ball I have played since I stopped playing all the time and was scratch. It is amazing around the greens and stops on the green better than any ball I have ever played. You shouldn't notice any big difference in distance.

I saw on eBay where you can get the 2016 new in box for around $23/dozen with free ship. That is a steal. 2016 is the 1st year the ball had the lower 70 compression.

You should putt and chip with it first. Once you get used to it I think you will see results very quickly. Once again, if you are hacking away terribly it won't matter.

I have some other basic tips that should help you get better. Let me know if you want them. Or, you can consult Rudy. Sounds like he knows what he is talking about, as usual.

I took a couple lessons last year and I was casting my hands really badly, corrected it some, but I am afraid it has come back a little. Need to get a couple lessons again, probably.
