Best Gambling Scene In A Movie🍿

It is very believable. In the beginning Mike loses when Teddy KGB turns his top set into aces-full to beat Mike's 9-full. Mike was losing the whole way and got outplayed, he didn't lose because a miracle killer card fell on the river.

Similarly, during the movie's final scene, Mike flops the nut straight. The turn and river were blanks. It was not a situation where Mike was losing the hand and hoping for that one card he needed which, in true Hollywood fashion, he would get on the river.

The huge plot hole is that they are going to kill him if he doesn't come up with the 15 G's, doesn't sound like the best business model for people in the bookmaking / loan sharking business.

That Wahlberg version was such a piece of crap ... I don't know how they could screw it up so bad ... the makers of the remake must not, themselves, gamble. And did they ever see the original? Awesome. And Lauren Hutton -- SO hot!
