Just wondering if there are any recommendations for free scheduler programs.

Is it clear what I'm asking? Like a calendar where you log in your appointments and you get pop-up reminders.

I use a works spreadsheet to manually enter over 20 filters for each team... Takes forever...but I am making money with it, so will not complain.

I would look in microsoft works or do a search you should be able to find something.

Outlook - I can quickly turn emails into tasks and set reminders. Also write down appointments in there.

I have a Microsoft Outlook scheduler that I used on a different computer - but it is the only thing left I use that computer for so I'd rather just shut it down and clear the desk space and have a scheduler on this computer. That's why I am asking.

I have Outlook Express on this computer but there is no calendar on it. I just use it for e-mail. I think in the bigger picture, I should switch my e-mail to web-based, get rid of Outlook Express as it relates to e-mail - and then get a scheduler function.

              Does that make sense?

Well... I use Outlook 2007 as the email interface for my Gmail account AND as a scheduler. Works like a charm and there's no need for separate applications, nor do I need to log into Gmail via a web browser. I would look into that if I were you.

See this example... this is similar to my own setup. Email folders on the left, then email listing, then the contents of the email you clicked on, then on the right, your appointments show up under the calendar and your tasks, if any, at the bottom right corner.

I couldn't possibly function normally without this opened at all times on a secondary display (my laptop, while I work on the big 24" desktop monitor)

BTW, for a free solution, there's Mozilla Thunderbird (email) and you can add a scheduling plugin to it (I think it's called Lightning).

That pic looks just about perfect for what I want.

Just to back up for one quick second, awhile back I was discussing a different boobish matter and people told me I was an idiot to not have web-based e-mail. Does gmail fall into that category? Like, can you go on the web from any other computer and still see the exact same e-mail folders with same inbox/sent/deleted messages that are there on Outlook?

I don't think I can do that with my Rogers account. I think the e-mails can only go to one or the other, either the web or Outlook.

I'm 99% positive that you can do it. It's just a matter of telling Outlook to leave a copy of the email on the Rogers server so that both interfaces (standalone and Web) are synced.
