onner, you can't go wrong betting steam (moves).. as long as you get them early (at a good price).. then you should do good in this business. i still haven't seen anyone i know have a losing year gambling by playing the moves early and beating the steam..

Well the way this contest is set up should make for an easy win for onner then. The lines are posted at 11:30am, so he can just sit back and see where they're at 30 minutes before 1st pitch, chase that steam, and still get the number that was posted at 11:30. Almost too easy for a steam chaser the way it's set up.
You will beat the closing number every single game onner. So there's no doubt who's going to win this contest, I guess....

More times than not I post them early in the morning. I handicap the next days card at night (right now) and post them usually before LT even posts the lines.
I'm quite sure you will beat most of the competition playing it this way. It's very shrewd, especially considering the format here. You have all day to watch line movements and still get to play off of a line set and locked in at 11:30am. Be nice if there was a book out there that gave us this kind of advantage in real life.
I'm still just going to keep doing it the way I've been doing it. My argument (in the subtext of this discussion) has always been that there's more than one way to be successful at this.... if you are any good at it.Comment -
