IF Kobe got hurt early in the year and didn't play again?

Would they even have been .500?

I say NO.

They would have been 39-43 at 10th place in the West..


This team is NOTHING without kobe. It is the only good team that would not make the playoffs without their best player.. Even CLE and ORL would have made playoffs without Lebron and Howard, but NOT Lakers..

they reallly rely on KOBE or they are crap. He is the team.. It's sad that ONLY 1 player makes your team..

I agree with the first part....but the last statement is where I disagree...


Kobe doesn't make the team, he COMPLETES the team. They would be a nice, solid little team without him but with him, they are CHAMPIONS.

That has to be a testament to Kobe's newfound maturity and leadership and the main reason why he is in the conversation as to being on par with or better than Jordan.
