You talking about ESPN's Merril Hoge? He was ripping on Young just a couple of weeks ago. Says Tennessee is "hiding" Vince Young. Before the season he said Young did not have the quickness like Vick to get past NFL defenders. Also said the guy cannot read defenses. You can see his idiot commentary on YouTube.

I'll be the first one here to admit this guy was gonna be a bust. You can't give all the credit to his success without giving Norm Chow an equal amount though John. Because, even you have to admit if it wasn't for Chow Vince Young wouldn't have excelled like has has this year.

I didn't expect him to start, and I didn't think his trademark runs would work in the NFL.

He has the qualities of a winner: ability to pull out close games, and plain luck (like when the NYG player didn't tackle him on 4th down because he was afraid of a rushing the passer penalty).

Radio sure made quicker strides than I think anyone thought he would. The Texans, as well as TGO, have to be manufacturing excuses on a daily basis for why they passed on Young and Bush.

I claimed Young would be a bust. I honestly haven't seen his games and subsequent heroics save a few highlight clips. But, it does seem that he is bringing the magic back to music city. Still, it's tough to judge a career based on a few games. Tony Romo was God a week ago, now he's viewed as mortal. Things can change quickly.

He still cant read NFL defenses. Not many, if any, NFL rookies can.

Still, he reminds me of a another Vince the way he is fearless to rushes. Vince Testaverde was great coming out of Miami. He hung in the pocket and got the ball downfield. Vince has that presence as well and shows no fear.

Yea he threw for what 86 yards? And was 0-8 on 3rd down. But he played mistake free for the most part while the Jags didn't.

He looked real bad, now if he does not put up numbers it will eventually catch up to him. It is proven in the nfl if your QB is not productive you cannot be successful.
