I think the Lakers still would've won. Kobe was on a mission this year.

The Celtics might've been a better cohesive team than the Lakers. But the Lakers easily blow them out of the water with talent. Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Ariza, Bynum (although he's had his troubles)

The Celtics only really have the Big 3 (and they're old)

kg takes it next year, very soft year in the nba,bunch of mediocre teams with too much hype, shaq and lebron may have a shot next year but the nba playoffs were obviously filled with a bunch of fraud teams including the lakers, down year for talented teams in the nba

Celtics took the MAgic to 7 games without KG and the MAgic pissed away games 2 and 4. The Magic were a poor rebounding team in the Finals, Lakers with many offensive rebound, that would change with KG, Perkins, and Rondo.

As a Celtic fan, I don't think the Celtics would have beaten the Lakers this year. Granted, if Garnett was healthy the playoffs may have been different, but I think with the home court advantage for the Lakers and the youth vs. age dynamic, the Lakers would have pulled it out IMO.

think back and remember how BOS were pummeling LAL throughout the series, including that beautiful 40 pt victory over LAL in the final game.. LAL looked like 11 yr old kids vs BOS.. and they are basically the same team as last year, just about..

BOS would have slaughtered this team with a healthy KG..

I will take the Yes for the max on this one NIcky. this Laker team WAS better and was more tough.....players like Ariza and a healthy Bynum made the difference. this team has a another couple year window too...

That series went to 6 games, and the Lakers got better and Boston got worse.

Even if KG was playing, the Lakers win. Hell, I would've bet against Boston making the Finals.

the only thing was that last year Ariza and Bynum werent playing and Vujacic was playing so thats the difference. Too bad KG wasnt playing cause i think the lakers would have beaten boston this time. KG was only meant to win 1 time. Mark my words he will NEVER win another title.

definitely one of the weakest teams to win an nba title in the last 30 years. they dont beat any championship team that magic, bird, jordan, shaq(maybe miami) or even duncan was on. good chance they couldnt have beaten the houston and detroit teams either. too many teams in the league now depending on 1 or 2 all-stars to win championships for them. boston goes back to back if healthy imo. but what do i know, ive had the shits all day

Lets not forget that Rondo was five times better this year then last. He was a mistake waiting to happen last year. Tremendous improvement from this little fuker. Davis was also better and will get better. Boston needs a little more on the bench tho.

Dallas and Miami were the two worst teams i ever saw in the finals. That final was brutal to watch
