Good old classic pump and dump by the big boys ......Bitcoin might end up below 1000 IMA.. Its all about supply and demand....There's very little demand for bitcoin..... If big block stores like Walmart, Amazon or Oil Companies jump in and started taking the coin it might level off here. But for now its just a big bubble that is deflating....With no hope of rebounding because of low demand for the coin.

I am making a prediction. just like every sports bet I make. The goal is to hopefully make more correct one than incorrect ones. I was expecting a bubble burst around last November. Obviously that never happened. It did this week.

I look at why bitcoin and cryptocurrencies came about in the first place and will that need suddenly just disappear? They fill a huge need for people all around the world. That's the key for me. I seriously doubt that will disappear.

I put in a certain percentage of my income to buy a few coins several months ago with the thinking it can be a good investment in 3 to 5 years. Is it possible that I lose all my money? I guess. Is it possible it could be worth a few hundred thousand? I guess. Time will tell.

Same here. I'm putting savings into this that I literally had sitting around. Nowhere near all of my savings or any of my immediate needs money. My one fear is being wrong on some altcoins but I'm decently spread out at least and hitting 1-2 of them will probably be a 5x or better eventually

Fair point but doesn’t have much to do with BTC price. The crypto value you speak of is being better served by a few of the other coins so I’d look into which one you believe will be the next to explode the way BTC did.

It's the same reason what made online poker great 10+ years ago a huge global market. When you combine all the people buying and trading from all over the globe it makes for a lot of fcking people. Hopefully the govenment doesn't ruin this too.

No one will use bitcoin if they can't convert to fiat.

There are plenty of other reasons why bitcoin will ultimately fail, too many to list.

Not intended to be used as such as most countries use their own currency. The idea is to invest if you believe in it long term, and the goal is long term it'll be a widely accepted currency. There's no reason for it to be right now. Or you can just buy like many are and hope

Banning the US doesn't kill bitcoin. US residents can't even trade at the two biggest exchanges that trade bitcoin. Most of the trade occurs in Asia.

That is a concern. Bitcoin was designed to be a method of transacting, but has morphed into an investment vehicle. That seems to be somewhat mutually exclusive. Not sure what that means for the future. I share your questions and concerns.
