I think you're safe if they pass on trading for a stick to hold on to their pitching, I can't see them finishing over .500 with the lineup they have. Bengie Molina, for one, will definitely tail off at the end of the season. Beyond that they don't have much.

They do have weak bats, but it's weird. For most teams, example CC for Yanks, Santana for Mets, Halladay for Blue Jays, and so on, the teams don't give them run support.

Not sure what is so confusing...they have the #1 home record...their era ranks them 3rd in the league... and their hitting is not as bad as mentioned...they are right in the middle batting at .259.

I think they'll hang around unless Lince or Cain go down. Sandoval has put a spark into this team. Dude has crazy hitting ability and is likely the guy the offense gonna be built around for the next few years.

IMO, they usually wait until August when they have a shot at making the playoffs to choke.

We'll have to wait and see if this is a slide, they always have trouble in Pittsburgh and Atlanta. There will be a dip in their performance on this road trip for sure.

SFO's team batting average is a relatively useless/decieving stat. They're near the bottom at OPS.

Their OPS was dead last in April and very low in May, but they moved to the middle of the pack in June and July. Their run production moved in the same pattern. Still not a team to fear at the plate, but they have steadily improved. And with their pitching, I think they will hang around. Their run differential is 4th best in the NL and they play lights out at home.
