They are not supposed to be this good, this late in the season. Plus I have the under of 80.5 on them. Scary. How are they doing it?

I think you're safe if they pass on trading for a stick to hold on to their pitching, I can't see them finishing over .500 with the lineup they have. Bengie Molina, for one, will definitely tail off at the end of the season. Beyond that they don't have much.

Rumors are they are pursuing some heavy bats, this will all but kill your wager.

What do they have to give up? The roster already looks like a minor league roster. The farm clubs must stink also, because they always go for the past his prime player.

Lincecum and Cain are lights out. They obv. will have their bad games, but overall, both are Cy Young candidates as of now

Yea, but what do they have to acquire some bats. Are they going to make a beads for Manhattan deal with someone?

They do have weak bats, but it's weird. For most teams, example CC for Yanks, Santana for Mets, Halladay for Blue Jays, and so on, the teams don't give them run support.

For some reason, the G-Men do for their aces

They sent Sanchez down and called up some kid who pitched pretty decent I heard. (?)

The Giants are confusing the **** out of me too. I never thought they would stick around this long but the pitching is deadly. Still, I think they fade by mid August.

San Francisco will NOT acquire any big bats... Sorry... Unless they give up one of their badass pitchers there is no way they will get a big hitter...

Not sure what is so confusing...they have the #1 home record...their era ranks them 3rd in the league... and their hitting is not as bad as mentioned...they are right in the middle batting at .259.

If you have wins under...you may need an injury to a starting pitcher... Long way to go...

There was a rumor they were going to ship Cain to FLA for Uggla but that feeds a hole but creates another

That would be an interesting move... Considering Florida is supposed to be stacked with Starting pitching...

I heard that rumor back when Nolasco was sent to AAA and Anibal Sanchez got hurt.

I would imagine SFO would want Uggla plus a prospect for Cain

SFO's team batting average is a relatively useless/decieving stat. They're near the bottom at OPS.

I think they'll hang around unless Lince or Cain go down. Sandoval has put a spark into this team. Dude has crazy hitting ability and is likely the guy the offense gonna be built around for the next few years.

IMO, they usually wait until August when they have a shot at making the playoffs to choke.

They have solid pitching so they will always be competitive.

Their OPS was dead last in April and very low in May, but they moved to the middle of the pack in June and July. Their run production moved in the same pattern. Still not a team to fear at the plate, but they have steadily improved. And with their pitching, I think they will hang around. Their run differential is 4th best in the NL and they play lights out at home.
