    Good data regression sites?
In the past, I always used zunzun.com, but it seems to be down.

My problem: I have z is a function of x and y. I want to do a polynomial data regression to determine the best fit, where
    z = a + bx + cy + dxx + eyy + fxy

This was super easy on zunzun. Copy my 700 or so data points, pick the error method, and zoom! out go the constants.

Are there any other good sites for online regression analysis?

I don't know of any online but it is not hard to do in Excel if you have the "Data Analysis" add-on. Or invest in

    Stata
    SAS
    RATS
    Shazam
    Minitab

SPSS is a great tool, and will give you load of additional fit statistics... though it's not free of course.

          Winks at

is a good simple stat program and pretty cheap $99 (so you get support).

It's pretty much an SPSS clone.

But if you're only doing simple regression, the stat pack in Excel is good enough...or write your own in Excel, not hard to do, don't even need VBA.

R language is free. Any kind of regression you can think of is available. Downloadable from http://www.r-project.org/

Learning curve no worse than Excel.

Yeah, 'mute is right: R is good, free, and well documented. I would differ on the learning curve as most folks already have Excel in their head by now. But how can you b*tch about free?

Who the heck keeps cross-posting these math-geek threads on the Players Talk section? Justin?

...the next poster will be JJ with a video of his willie ala Revolver's mix...

                Talk about regressing...
