Hello everyone. I would like to Say Congrats to Pittsburgh. However if I was a Detroit Red Wings Hockey Fan I would be calling the FBI and District Attorney all day until next year. This is a worst way to lose a Hockey championship ever known to man. This is like 10 times worst than Utah Utes winning all their games and destroying Alabama in College bowl game and still got screwed for the #1 spot. I believe the Utah State Attorney or District attorney is still investigating this matter and should be. BCS is a sham! Get rid of it! Utah Utes deserved the shot AT #1 AND I BELEIVE THEY ARE BEING INVESTIGATED THE BCS!!!
However what happen to Detroit Red Wings is the worst of the worst with absolute manipulation from the league for profits and showcasing their new talent
1). First Fact was NHL and the TV networks change the way of how and when NHL games where played at the last second.
2). They forced 2 games in 2 days which is absolutely unheard off. This favors more a younger team than a older team like Detroit
3). the way Detroit lost was absolutely awful
they won the first game 3-1. The odds for a team winning is extremely high for winning the whole series after the first game win
4). They won the second game 3-1. Once again the odds even bettor won them to win the series.. Then the unexpected schedule change came into effect
5). After Playing so many games in a short period, they lost to Pittsburgh 4-2 in game 3 and game 4. You could tell that Detroit Red Wings playing in so many games caused them to get tired against younger Pittsburgh
6). Game 5. Detroit Red Wings Blew out Pittsburgh 5-0
7). Game 6 Pittsburgh won 2-1 and lots of questionable calls and once again the referees seemed to favor Pittsburgh
8). Game 7 Pittsburgh wins Championship in Detroit
EVERYTHING WAS AGAINST DETROIT RED WINGS. THE TV NETWORKS, THE LEAGUE, CHANGING OF SCHEDULE AT LAST SECOND, AND UNEXPECTED EVENS JUST WAS TOO MUCH FOR DETROIT RED WINGS TO OVERCOME
If I was a Detroit Fan I would really pissed off. In Detroit as a city and in Metro area Detroit their really is not much to be happy about anymore. Every Subdivision has for sale signs, foreclosured, abobadon houses everywhere
I used to be a Detroit Sports fan but in honestly I just do not care anymore. As a former fan I rarely watched the series however I observed unusual events that was too great for Detroit to overcome
When I woke up I found Pittsburgh won the series. Congrats To Pittsburgh. Another thing is the way the Detroit Media was acting after Detroit first 2 wins against Pittsburgh was awful. The Detroit media and radio stations all but praised Detroit and where acting like Detroit won the series after the game 1 win. After Game 5, I beleive 5-0 win for Detroit, Dan Wetzel even wrote that Pittsburgh was in such dispair because of them starting fights in game 5 third period after the blowout loss. Detroit media and Radio stations all but promised a Stanley cup win.
All I heard was Detroit and their 5 Stanley cups wins in 12 years. All day. however I knew, something was wrong. Detroit won only 4 Stanley Cups and not 5. The Detroit Media and Radio Stations and TV stations and Dan Wetzel & Coach Babcock all but assured themselves Detroit Red Wings would be the winner and no chance of Pittsburgh Penguins could come back. Even Coach Babcock mention that Pittsburgh is in dismay and dispair after game 5
So as a Neutral based fan that really did not care about the outcome of this series the results are stunning.
This is why you see all the Sports Radio stations in Detroit disappearing slowly. This is why Newspapers are disappearing everywhere. Why brother with such nonsense. I remember The Miners that where trapped several years ago like 10 of them. The Media reported all where found alive but one. Everyone was excited and happy. But the the reality was all the miners where dead except for one with brain damage. The Media tried to outdo each other and report false information time after time trying to outdual each other and they all got burnt. This why newspapers and media are all going out of business. Why bother and why pay when it is free and mostly untrue
