yea that's because the Braves will finish below .500 and not be in the playoffs hence the redsox will not be able to beat them in the world series.

all i was saying was that until they went to the wild card format the red sox coudnt win shit forever. when they changed the game so dramatically it gave boston better odds then they ever had before.

But they changed it and they won. They won within the rules (which are pretty fair rules considering the different strengths of different divisions). I don't see your point. Why not revert to the deal ball era and be done with it?

i know they won fair and square im not disputing that. its like when they talk about the modern era and the old era in hockey. the red sox and even the white sox ended their sorry history in the wild card era- it took a fundamental change in the formats for boston to get out of their own asses. remember when so many people were against changing the format- i was one of them
