I don't think mathy was putting down jobs other than pro gambler, merely 9-to-5 jobs that profit to someone else.

Grasshopper when you can snatch the pebble from my hand you will be ready until then enjoy being a slave to some corporation that will shit can you the very first time profits are down. Kissing someones ass all day in hopes that you get a shitty raise that will be more than offset by run away inflation. The best thing about gambling all day is that no one tells you what the fukk to do and that alone is worth way more than the salary any shitty job will pay.Comment -

#20Of course, I got a job besides betting as well. Sports betting is my side job right now, that's why I consider myself as semi-pro. I can't imagine myself making my living solely by sports betting. I don't have a 100k (or even 50k) bankroll yet.
But for future, my goal is to become a Professional one day. I don't know if i'm gonna succeded but hey what's the point of living if you don't chase your dreams? I can't imagine myself working 'til 65! (36 years more!)
Work/Business life is less riskier than betting btw? Many people are fired during global crisis and it was not their fault.
I think you got classic/public misconceptions about professional sports betting. I like to share one of my articles with you. I wrote it at Statfox about 6 months ago.
FIVE MISCONCEPTION ABOUTPRO HANDICAPPERS
1- THERE'S NO GUARANTEE IN BETTING
Well, let me ask you is there a guarantee in your daily job? Millions of people are being fired everyday and it's not only because of their performance. Today, companies are getting smaller and smaller in order to survive in capitalist/competitive world.
Let’s say you decided to run your own restaurant or build a farm. Every businessman becomes successful? I know millions people who end up broke or closing their company..
Yes, there’s a risk in betting as well but here everything depends on you, your bankroll management and your approach against losing. If you have a proper money management system and some skill in betting –which only %55 would do the trick- you can make a living by betting!
2- HANDICAPPERS ARE ANTI-SOCIAL PEOPLE
Do you think that people working 9-6 are social-like-crazy? Let’s say you come to home at 19:30 and you will go to bed at 23:30. You have only 4 hours for your social affairs. I have some friends who start job at 08:00 AM! Not to mention, night shift jobs, extra work, stupid night meetings, cocktails etc.
Not to meniton, some people are working in Saturdays too. Think about it, you come to home exhausted and tired and will you be motivated to go theatre, cinema? Dinner, tv, sleep will be your lifestyle if youre working 9-5 and you will enjoy your weekends with sleeping because you will be tired to death!
On the other side, betting gives you lots of freetime. You can go playing golf, go fishing, cinema and meet new people. Not to mention, you’ll meet other bettors too!
3- THERE’S NO END IN BETTING! THERE’S NO RETIREMENT!
Do you know that an average man gets retired when he hits 65 age? It’s even 70 in some countries! On the other side, you can end your betting career whenever you want. You can get retired at 40 or 50 but why should you retire of something that doesn’t take that much time?
4-SOCIETY DOESN’T HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR BETTORS!
WTF! Who cares about damn society? You can be sure that they will be your dog when they see your Ferrari. No matter what’s your occupation/job, everybody will treat you well (they will admire you) if you’re rich. Being a handicapper is like being a rock star. You have a talent and it’s not an ordinary job that everyone can do. Everyone can become a teacher or a banker but not everyone can become a handicapper. It requires a true talent, will and discipline.
5-IF YOU WIN TOO MUCH, BOOKIES WILL LIMIT YOU!
There’s over 200 bookmakers on earth and you can always sign-up for your mom and dad. Not to mention, there’s exchanges as well which you can win money forever because when you’re winning money in exchange, you don’t take your bookmaker’s money. They are earning their commission so they don’t care who is winning.
Conclusion
Betting and Gambling are different things in my book. If you’re playing with a money that you can’t afford to lose, if you’re playing with your food/rent money then you’re gambling. Nobody wins everyday in this industry but as long as you hit over %53 (maybe even less if you have Matchbook) you can make a decent living. However, it's not everyone's cup of tea. Definetely, it's not for everyone. It requires lots of discipline, patience and a good bankroll. I'm working 9-6 right now and I must admit that I don't like my job anymore. Business life was great in my first years but by time you figure out that you can't stand this all your life.
Still, I need my job to pay for my living expenses and in order to keep my bankroll. I can't use my bankroll for my living expenses right now; I should build my bankroll, never withdraw! So I'm afraid I will work at least for 2-3 years, maybe 5, LoL!
I hope you enjoyed my article. Maybe we're sharing the same goal, same dream, who knows? Let me know if you made it someday. GL! (because you'll need it ehehe)
