Your games weren't being watched by millions of people around the globe and in front of 20,000 rabid fans.

I can answer that word with another word..... "Professionals".

They get paid millions of dollars to deal with it. ESPECIALLY at home.

there was no pressure on them...

hit 1 shot, just 1 out of the 20 they missed

I still can't believe I could have gotten +700 Lakers and didn't hedge my Magic Ml bet... that is the stupidest thing I've ever done

Howard is pretty terrible at the line. Good thing they don't have Shaq and Ben Wallace to complement him

So "professionals" never lose, make mistakes, or do something incorrectly? Since when has the word professional meant you have to be perfect at something. This forum needs a dictionary.

professionals are paid to make their numbers...

                    aka put up their stats

not shoot 40 percent when you're a 59 percent ft shooter...

or 60 percent when you're an 85 percent...

Tsop - have you ever bet on something that you were doing? For example have you ever bet someone that you could make a putt or a FT, etc? If so then you are technically a professional for that moment. What does getting paid have to do with you making the putt? More than likely, the money just escalated the pressure. Now imagine not only your money but hundreds of others money. That's huge pressure now.

I admit, guys in the league today are much worse midrange and ft shooters but also they have to endure a more physical schedule. At the end of the game most of these guys are dead tired and usually miss due to lack of focus because of fatigue.

Heck, I've made some stupid decisions on the Blackjack table where there was a lot of loot on a hand. Pressure makes you do stupid things at times.

lol i was the second best free throw shooter at my school and i actually looked it up and i was 56 of 68 82%. I was the first sub off the bench and always played down the stretch because i could make my free throws. Anyways the real point of this thread is if your paid to play basketball and cant make free throws its like being a chef and not being able to make desert, you have to be able to fulfill all aspects of your profession, you may not be amazing at everything but at least be respectable and howard and even the rest of the magic were pathetic.

PS if I shot 300+ free throws 365 days a year I would easily shoot 90% from the free throw line
