I think it is lame to have commentators cheering in runs, talking about how they're due for a big hit, attacking umps for any call that doesn't go their way.

Commentating should be unbiased, just providing the play-by-play and insightful observations.

If that's the case, they should make you a commentator. You're very unbiased and insightful.

For example -- As an outsider, what do you think of the human race?

I'll answer this straight up and say that I do... I know it's annoying and cheesy, but hey, it feels good to have others cheering your team on too sometimes.

Well, unless ofcourse when you play the other side. Then it's kinda funny to see them cheering for a hit when they are struggling.

Yes, I've made plays against my own team. Who hasn't?

I think its better to have team biased commentary. Its better than things like FOX game of the week where they try to be impartial but get blatantly erect everytime the Yankees or Redsox do something.

I agree with Mathy 100%, I hate when announcers refer to the teams they cover as "we". The White Sox idiots are the worst. (The Good Guys, Put it on the board, etc...)

lol LT, the WGN goofballs are definitely the worst. Even if I am on the same side as the commentators I am annoyed by it. Maybe because their cheering is fake, whereas my dinner is on the line.

And when they are on the other side I just want to punch their faces in when questioning calls that are obviously legit. I was watching the Nats game a while ago; a Nats player was called out at third by a full step. They only conceded that the Nats player was out on the 2nd replay.

I like it but it depends who it is. Matt Vasgersian was great as a Padres homer.
