I expected Auburn to beat Bama with the way Bama looked vs Miss State. Aub took solid control in the 2nd half. Clemson looks too balanced and experienced for S Carolina...and Miami as well. OU will beat TCU again. That makes Clemson & Oklahoma 1-2

Auburn's star RB looks like he has a separated shoulder? I like Georgia in that one with the revenge factor. There's your 3. Then it comes down to Wisc/Ohio State. Wisc wins or Bama is back in at 4
I think Georgia is too one-dimensional to beat Auburn. Tigers showed in first meeting what would happen when Bulldogs' running game gets shut down. And If I am right, I think Auburn would have best resume of final 4 teams, only reason I put them #2 is because I don't think committee will put 2-loss team #1.

Bama could be in trouble here. Anyone prepared to lay odds on them missing the 4?

The selection committee isn't leaving the Big Ten champ out of the playoff field. Too much money left on the table

If choice is between Big Ten Champ and Alabama, money should not influence decision. It is not like we are talking about a UCF type team here with no national following.

Alabama will get in probabaly because the coaches on the committee thinks they are 1 of the 4 best teams.
But their resume is complete garbage.
Best win- LSU who lost to Troy. 4 loss Miss. St. who might be unranked.
Then a win over a non FCS school Mercer because the sissy SEC wont play 9 league games like the PAC/B1G.

Bama fans are already whining like spoiled brats. They are saying look OSU got in last year with 1 loss and PSU had 2 and won the title.
But OSU had 2 top 10 ROAD wins at Oklahoma and Wisky. And 2 wins over top 10 teams at home. 4 better wins than anything Bama has this year. They need to STFU.

I am not saying it means anything but Vegas power ratings still rank Alabama #1 even after yesterday, they would be -3.5/-4 over Clemson on neutral field. Committee may not publicly say they take betting data into consideration, but...

No doubt most think Bama is one of the 4 best but when your resume is so bad and you play a non FCS school the "deserve" factor has to be a part. Plus they have played poor in both Auburn and Miss St. games.
If Wisconsin wins then there is no conversation at all.
The committee is praying the Badgers win.

I'm a Wisconsin alumni - Alabama will get in. Ohio State will beat Wisconsin in the big ten championship game and Alabama's resume will look much better than Wisconsin's with 1 loss. The only debate will be Alabama against Ohio State, and Ohio State's loss to Iowa looks horrible. Alabama and had a reasonably tough in conference schedule, they just dominated in the conference because they were that good, the LSU team Alabama beat defeated Auburn, Alabama just had injuries at the linebacker position at the wrong time.

Alabama has had a garbage schedule. Lost to the only good team on their entire schedule. LSU and Miss St are mediocre.
                    Played Mercer.
                    SOS is 46. That sucks.
Injuries are a part of the game. Next man up. No excuses.
Did not a team win the NC with their 3rd string QB?

Listen Bama is better than Wisconsin and Ohio St.
But you have to earn your way in the playoffs. Their total resume is puke.

                      Final Forecast:

                      Sugar: 1-Clemson vs. 4-Alabama
                      Rose: 2-Georgia vs. 3-Oklahoma

                      Cotton: Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame
                      Fiesta: USC vs. Penn State
                      Orange: Miami vs. Ohio State
                      Peach: Auburn vs. UCF

Obviously had right matchups in national semis, just had 2-3 reversed. Let's see how the rest shake out.

The bowls shook out correctly. The two losers last night, Miami and Wisconsin go to the Orange Bowl. The two Conference Champions who are left out, Ohio State and USC, go to the Cotton Bowl because unless we are talking playoffs, the committee does not like sending a team to the same bowl game twice in a row and they do not want to match up teams who played each other last year. That left Penn State, who now actually has to work for a win against Washington, rather than just show up to defeat TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. No one really cares about the Peach Bowl, but UCF had to go someplace, so the Peach Bowl grabbed Auburn, who at least knows the stadium. The committee hit the nail on the head with these selections.
