8 games in a season in which the Niners have not won a game only forces the Niners to overpay for Gorapolo and causes the first round pick to lose value if he wins a few games. They are already in a position for the number 1 pick to get Sam Darnold who would have a capped number that would NOT handicap the salary versus overpaying Cousins or Gorapalo. If Garapolo sucks on a team that sucks and is already winless they won't be able to get a second round pick back. They best possible scenario is the Niners winning max two games "this season" and blowing the first pick which makes zero sense since they obviously need a quarterback. This season is already over for the Niners, what are they trying to improve for??? Shanny is only in his first season, what is the rush to win games now. They have been blown out the last two games, a new qb who hasn't been in Shanny's system is only going to get hurt this year and will not be as effective as the current and waived Niners' qb's on the roster.
