I'm one of the few that think Pittsburgh got the best of the trade with Atlanta. Give me McCutchen over McLouth. The prospects that Atlanta gave up for McLouth way more than equal what Nate would have done for Pittsburgh.

pittsburgh did better in the trade because they had mccutchen coming up but they could have had an OF with all 3, mclouth, mccutchen and morgan... now that would have been one FAST OF... but they did okay with the prospects and savings in cash. but to say they won the trade is comical...

you cant just act like mccutchen was a part of the trade. sure, his promotion came because of it but they could have gotten more for mclouth

both teams achieved objections tho and i dont think pit should be getting hammered. braves cleary got mclouth at a discounted rate tho...

TIK, I never said the Pirates "WON" the trade. That will be determined in a couple of years, and I never said McCutchen was part of the trade. However, I do think the Pirates got the better of the deal. My point is, the Pirates will be better off bringing up McCutchen and getting the prospects than keeping McLouth.
