I haven't seen one video like that. In every case it's involved the suspect (lengthy violent, drug criminal history) fleeing the scene, resisting arrest, not obeying the cops orders. Ferguson, Freddie Gray the cops did nothing wrong and that's what the courts ruled. There may be a few out there that I am forgetting or missing, but does not matter. The overall statistics are the real numbers. If you disagree with the actual statistics then thats your call.

You bringing up statistics has nothing to do with this. This is about police brutality, which is cops using deadly force when not needed. Had those vids not been shown to the world the last 5 years then no players would be kneeling. This isnt about cops killing a certain race and how many times thats done, its the condition of which some have died, can you show me any where cops have killed a white male or female when it wasnt needed, there must be some somewhere.

There's a huge difference though between other professions and those that protect the peace and investigate, prosecute or adjudicate the law.

If there's a racist mechanic, there are (unless you live in a 1 mechanic town) options readily available, and you can voice your displeasure in a variety of ways (including taking your vehicle somewhere else)

The issue is not that there's a goal of zero racist cops (or zero racism), the issue is what to do. The players (the ones I've heard anyway) feel like there is systematic racism in law enforcement. I'm sure you can find black friends who say they've never had an issue with being unfairly targeted. Others can provide some who have. These players still protested (many of whom are not stars) after seeing Colin K get blacklisted when there 6+ teams he could be a solid backup on. There are real world $ consequences these guys are facing, and yet they still protest. That alone should cause a person to pause and at least listen.

I would expect someone who took an oath protecting the constitution, which includes all the amendments, to appreciate that the first amendment is included, even when it's done peacefully and in your own view, disrespects you or someone else.

It was "encouraged" when our fiscally responsible government (Dept of Defense) decided to give tax money to billionaires to stage patriotic ceremonies, supposedly to help with recruitment. Paid patriotism. Funny nobody gives a shit about this colossal waste of money. And yes, I've actually held several jobs, even have one now. And if my employer tried to make me listen to the anthem or recite the pledge of allegiance every work day I'd tell him to suck my ass. But not to worry, he's not being paid so it won't happen.
