History is not on their side, but we might as well throw that out of the window. It is not relevant gambling wise, but it makes for a good TV line.

#8It will be interesting to see how LA comes out G3. Kobe and Gasol both clocked over 40 minutes in G2, will LA rest these guys some more in G3 and try to have them more rested for games 3 and 4?
I don't expect LA's intensity to be dialed down at all, but I do think it would be smart to let them rest more in G3.Comment -

#10Dallas took a 2-0 lead on Miami a few years back, then Miami won the next 3 at home and the next game in dallas to win the series 4-2. Then some guy robbed a bank because he had 10k on dallas! LOL what a great story.Comment -

When queried as to his efficiency in G2, Kobe likened his performance to a QB throwing an interception once in a while.
Got to think there are more Game 1 Kobe performances to be had. I feel sorry for Courtney Lee.Comment -

#19Coaching is another factor that may be the difference in what could be more games of inches.
Van Gundy seemed to blame his players in the post-game presser, probably deservedly so but elite coaches just don't conduct themselves in such a manner. There was dejection there, a hint of desperation when he referenced having thrown every possible lineup together and still coming up short. He made mention that there are no "tricks" left, just execution, and I believed him.
Whereas, I believe Phil Jackson is not even close to done making fundamental adjustments and shifting philosophies. We all know Orlando's game-plan, it's the same as it was versus Cleveland except LA actually has enough manpower to make life tougher for them.Comment -

#24lol im posting that line of mine because i firmly believe it...
im willing to take whatever egg you may throw at me should it not hit, BUT as improbable as it seems for Orlando to pull a miami and win all 3 enroute a backdoor sweep, well, the story is setting up nicely for that to happen
first game, lakers show how great they can be...2nd game, orl comes back, but fails to take it...
3rd game is an orlando explosion...4th is a tight game and orl proves they can win a close one
game 5 is scary but the magic will realize their only chance to win the series is to take game 5 and they win by about 10 or so after playing up and down for 2 and a half quarters
as far as them winning game 6 in LA, well, they proved they can hang in the lakers yard and i see the deep roster of Orl winning the title in front of a stunned lakers crowd
should this fail to happen, talk as much crap to me as you want, but thats the story i see playing out

heres how it will really go
orlando will lose the next game in a hard fought contest
then orlando will blow la out in a high scoring game
then la will win a close game 5 and go to disneylandComment -

i was under the assumption because the lakers are the lakers they would find a way to take at least 1 from orlando but given that the lakers have won the first 2 that is now out of the question.
the major reason the magic will win this finals series is because of a media blitz of disrespect and animosity aimed toward orlando and in laymans terms they are fueling the fire for the lakers demise; feeding the beast in the east.
i could understand why there isnt too much to worry about sitting on cloud nine even when the magic win game 3, to be up in the series, but it will be harder to breathe when the series shifts back to los angeles in a closeout game 6.
i could only imagine the sighs of relief from magic fans who always knew they were the superior team and the pure shock coming from laker fans.
i have to applaud the NBA for trying their best to steer the playoffs toward the outcome they dreamed of but there are other forces at work like the aforementioned media that are killing that dream.Comment -
