And I guess since we're already here, I would like to say that even though I expected the anti-gun people to do what they always do and hide in the bushes until something happens, then within 24 hours jump on the backs of dead people and try to "strike while the iron is hot" since their arguments in a neutral setting are so shitty and nonsensical and they have no other recourse but to try these shameful guerilla-like tactics instead. Happens every....single....time. You can almost set your watch to it now.

And what warms my heart, even after something so awful like this? Is that like always, nothing happens. They never get their way. They shout into the wind, get nothing, and then they're gone again until the next tragedy they can exploit.

They charge for parking now. The days of cheap food and cheap everything because Vegas made their money gambling are over.

The model has evolved and Vegas is a huge service economy. Gambling revenue has become less and less of the overall picture of total revenue for the strip.

Don't get me wrong, slots make money, but it's more like securing money for big loans.

I think most of the Vegas revenue is non gaming anymore, at least that's the new business model.

Was just there in July and the food prices were super high. I do expect changes now for at least the time being.

I am a big 2nd am. right guy . But see NO NEED for semi-auto for public use. Only military and policemen really need that. They get the training that is needed for this weapon. I was infantry back in the 80's and have fired most weapons or at least types a weapons. People think the govt. is coming for them. But hell if your govt is coming after you the have a hell of a lot more fire power. I have a brother and a cousin that have twice the arsenal as this guy but as I told each of them. In your opinion you are considering it an empowerment. I have a right to bear arms... and I don't even own a gun... never really gave it a thought to purchase one. A few of my friends have encouraged me to buy one and get some training... but... just never felt like doing it. Of course... that could change.

Well my take is that we are the largest consumer economy in the world and it is all about money.

Those that govern are for sale, and allow corporations to sell shit to us that is really bad for us.

Something about him losing his mind over gambling doesn't sit well being this was planned months in advance. The Asian woman being on the other side of the world and his dad being a world class criminal could have something to do with it. He was a fan of gambling and country music, yet he takes out people at a country concert from a casino. He had guilt/issues over something hidden under the surface for his whole life.

also want to know how many times the guy stayed at the hotel, or any hotel overlooking that outdoor area. The Route 91 festival is only 3 years old so I want to know if he stayed at one of the hotels on a coinciding night in the past.

To just sit around and come up with this idea seems crazy. I would bet he has stayed at the hotel on a night there was a festival and the thought occurred to him how the people would be easy targets. It doesn't seem likely he just decided to kill a bunch of people and came up with this idea from nothing, it's possible.

This guy checked in Sept 28th. There's a ton of cameras in the hotel. I'd like to know what he was doing all weekend. Was he out and about? Or did he barricade himself in his room until deciding to launch his attack? The music festival was 3 days, so he could have chosen prior nights to attack.

If there's a motive, I think it would be to be famous. Although if you are simply going to kill yourself at the end, what's the point? These loner carefree types have no one to keep them grounded and normal. I don't understand how a retired 64 year old millionaire could plan out an attack like this. Doesn't make any sense.

You also gotta think back when the 2nd Amendment was implemented our founding fathers didn't see AR's and AK's spraying in major cities.. I'm sure they would have debated on that issue if they knew..

I don't watch much TV, but I did watch Designated Survivor. When I heard what happened it reminded me of a scene from an episode. Guy was in a hotel looking at the capitol building with a gun in hand, a huge crowd in front of him, and the VP about to be sworn in. Never know if there's any correlation.

This investigation will take months if not years to complete. Reviewing 4+days of surveillance footage to put together a timeline on him is not a simple task in a property of MB's size. If he had any accomplices the footage will reveal it. A very close friend of ours made it out of there ok and she is absolutely convinced there was more than 1 piece of shit shooting. Not difficult at all to do and not out of the ordinary for someone to make several trips over a few days. There are thousands of cameras covering each property and 2-4 operators at a time reviewing coverage. An older white guy bringing luggage to his room isn't going to stand out. Unless the rifles were out in the open as he was bringing them in, hotel security did their job. Would you prefer security searching all luggage and frisking people upon check in as well as each time they set foot on property?
