They charge for parking now. The days of cheap food and cheap everything because Vegas made their money gambling are over.

The model has evolved and Vegas is a huge service economy. Gambling revenue has become less and less of the overall picture of total revenue for the strip.

Don't get me wrong, slots make money, but it's more like securing money for big loans.

I think most of the Vegas revenue is non gaming anymore, at least that's the new business model.

Sadly this guy just gave a blue print to other lunatics. It took the police 10-15 minutes to locate him. I doubt if our founding fathers had someone owning 10-20 automatic and semi-automatic weapons in mind when they wrote the 2nd amendment. I'm not against guns, but most of us are about odds here, so it's not like this could never happen with stricter laws and background checks, but think 600 people getting shot probably doesn't happen.
