Some people do wait 5+ years for stuff... Our overall quality is sub-par but equitable. We also pay though the nose regarding Taxes in general, especially income tax. If you're healthy, and know how to save/grow your money you're much better of with the American system. Problem is there aren't that many bright people. Trust me on this one, you'd rather fork the 50k-250k or whatever it costs for an operation and have superior quality knowing you had the best modern medicine can offer in most cases. Your doctors are held to a higher standard regarding their work. If you penetrate up in Canada it's like "oh well". Still a good system we have though. In the midwest there is a group of hospitals called the mercy heath care system. I would go on about my experience but it would take forever. Buddy of mine went there complaining of not being able to breath. The told him he had a cold. Prescribed him some medicine and sent him home. Few hrs later he was back there and they gave him more meds and sent him home. The next day he went back and had to be air cared to another hospital because they misdiagnosed him because he had the swine flu. Now you can say why didn't he go to a different hospital. That was because he was in an h.m.o. and they refused to let him. This was a iraq vet and a policeman, who was a hell of a guy. But anyone that says that our health is so much better. I'm personally not a protester because I think I can get what I want without creating a disruption. But, we're talking about issues that are much bigger than me. People are mixed on this because WE ALL love our country. Half the country sees it as disrespect, the other half does not. Who's right? Our Constitution is clear and the Supreme Court has affirmed that it is up to each individual. You do your thing and I'll do mine. You stand, I sit, while he kneels. The constitution was written so that we could be free. Free from government telling us what to do. If you think the anthem is a ritual, if you think the flag is an idol, than that's your opinion and the government will grant you that freedom WITH the assurance of not being oppressed, ridiculed or shamed. You cannot force people to do something they don't believe in. Unless you want this country to be more like North Korea or Russia, where if you don't obey the leader, you are locked up and possibly killed. Do you really want to live in a country where the president can have you beheaded because you don't agree with him? The bible is the go to on issues like this. If you are a believer. This very example is the same thing early Christians had to deal with.
Take the example of Paul. He challenged the Jews because they would not accept the converted Gentiles because they didn't follow law. One particular issue was the eating of "unclean" meat. Meat that was sacrificed to idols before they were sold in the market. The church in Antioch (Acts 15) was mixed with Jews and Gentiles. The Jews would not eat meat that they did not know it's origin. Gentiles in the church said it did not matter. Paul eventually declared that all meat was clean because food does not bring us closer to God and we are no worse if we eat or don't eat it. But, he challenged the church that just because you can eat meat, why would you do it if it offend your brother? It would be better to never eat meat again then to cause your brother to sin against his conscious.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 Paul talks about his freedom and how he used his freedom to convert men. He became all things to all people. How can anyone relate to this black cause if you do not become black?? You can never gain understanding if you don't have empathy.

Pat Tillman is one of the most Patriotic soul I can think of. This man had everything, money, family, success in the NFL and volunteered to lay down his life for his country. He was an incredible shining light. Laid down his life for his brothers. His wife and the Army Ranger friend that fought alongside him both said that they believe Tillman would have taken a knee.

I can relate calling her a C is similar to making noise in a theater. It's a disturbance for sure. But, I'm not sure it's the same as yelling fire, where that could cause a stampede where people could get hurt (even though most theaters are empty these days). It's definitely not the same as silent protest by raising a fist or taking a knee. Which is nowhere similar to blocking a freeway.
