Yep, I used to pay $550 a month back in 2009 because I was once misdiagnosed with cancer. ACA has halved that cost for me. California was smart and set their exchange up early. It's not a perfect system but it is better than it was.

The ACA's BIGGEST problem for most of the haters is the guy who was in office when it was passed. I can understand frustrations from people who live in rural areas without competition but a lot of those places failed to set up exchanges or take federal dollars when the program started. roy I bought a long term disability policy that doesn't cost the taxpayers shit. Please get your facts straight. Now you maybe able to get workers comp but when your self employed that usually isn't an option. SO being smart I bought a l.t.d. policy with after tax dollars. This means I don't have to pay taxes on it but did this year to maximize social security. This meant I took 30,000 out of a s.e.p because the disability payment isn't taxable.
